Easter Sunday

I spent a beautiful Easter Sunday with my loved ones, a table full of delicious food and the cutest little nephew in the entire world! Also, a vase full of lovely spring flowers complementary of Trader Joe’s! (My favorite place for budget-friendly florals)

Jack and I hosted Easter dinner at our house, and we had a blast. We spent the week preparing for guests by updating our landscaping, adding shutters, and cleaning the house from top to bottom. This was our first time hosting a holiday meal, and I have to say that it went pretty well! I cooked a ham, scalloped potatoes and provided the dessert! I say “provided” because I didn’t actually make the cake. That’s right, store bought angel food cake for the win! I just topped it with powdered sugar and strawberries, and served it with freshly made whipped cream.

I used my favorite wooden cutting board to set the tone for my table decor. We received this beauty as a wedding gift, and I’m beyond obsessed! It’s even adorned with a copper handle. It’s perfect! I then added my floral arrangement, golden rabbit figurine from Hobby Lobby, and painted Easter Eggs. I couldn’t find the bunny online, but you may be able to find it at your local Hobby Lobby store!

Those little golden pears are actually my salt and pepper shakers. They work perfect for both spring and fall, and are just the cutest. I found them about a year ago at Home Goods. I’m not sure if you could get your hands on them, now.

I can’t wait to show you our house transformation, soon. Before and afters are my favorite, and boy do I have a good one! I may be biased, but I think our updated landscaping makes a huge difference. I’ll share, soon!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.
